SEDLEY – Shannon Marie Howington, 39, passed away May 1 , 2024 in Sentara Obici Hospital. Shannon was born in Goldsboro, North Carolina and was a former resident of Currituck, North Carolina. She was the lead cook at The Children’s Center in Franklin.
She enjoyed life with her family, fishing and going to the beach. She loved

to cook for the family and for the children at The Children’s Center in Franklin.
Left to cherish her memory is her fiancé, Scott E. Evans; her parents, Barry A. Howington (Renee) and her mother, Marcia M. Parker (Carlton); one niece, Judith Greene; one nephew, Ezra Hilbig; one sister, Chelsea Lambert (Josh); one brother, B. Alan Howington Jr.
Shannon is predeceased by a sister, Brittany Greene.
A celebration of life service will be held at noon on Saturday, June 1 at Franklin High School.
