The Southampton County Sheriff’s Office covered a five-mile stretch on Ivor Road, reaching from Plank Road to Trinity Church  Road to clean up some trash, on April 21. In a post on Facebook, Sheriff Josh A. Wyche, Sr., talked about some of the support deputies received during the clean-up effort. “At one moment, while waiting to be picked up to go to another location, we were blessed by Mr. Gray from Gray Construction, who gave several deputies a ride in the back of his truck to another location,” Wyche said. “Afterward, we had a luncheon before going back out to pick up the bags of trash. As we were about to go out, we were surprised by Doug Bailey, Jr., who drove up with a trailer load of the bags of trash that we had picked up.” Wyche thanked Bailey and Gray for the gesture, as well as the deputies who came ot to help. “Thank you to my Southampton County Sheriff’s Office Family for always supporting the ideas that I have to take part in our community outreach,” Wyche concluded.
