COURTLAND – Edgar Abernathy Simpson Jr., 89, passed away April 21, 2024 in his home with family by his side. Born in Milton, North Carolina on June 19, 1934, he was a son of the late Edgar Abernathy Simpson Sr. and Louise Ollis Simpson. Edgar was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Air Force with 22 years of service. He held a Doctorate Degree in Theology from Anderson Bible Institute and was a retired postman for the U.S. Postal Service.
