Southampton County Sheriff Josh A. Wyche Sr., right, presented Retired Maj. Gene Drewery, left, with a plaque honoring him for being a dedicated Southampton County Sheriff’s Office family member for 40 years. In 2019, Drewery retired as chief deputy at the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office. Shortly after, he returned to working part time. Thank you for your service, Ret. Maj. Drewery.
