FRANKLIN – Gene Donald Bulls Sr., 80, passed away on Feb. 7, 2024 in his home. A native of Sedley and longtime resident of Franklin, he was a son of the late Eddie N. Bulls Sr. and Minnie Stieh Bulls. He was also predeceased by two brothers, E.N. Bulls Jr. and James Alton Bulls Sr. and two sisters-in-law, Madeline Bulls and Kathleen Bulls.

Gene was a 1961 graduate of Southampton High School and an Army veteran. He was retired from the sheet finishing department at Union Camp.

He is survived by a son, Gene Donald Bulls Jr.; two daughters, Letitia Lynn Austin and Donna Jean Story (Hunt); two sisters, Nancy Pheiffer (Leroy) and Sue Early (Milton); three brothers, Dr. Bob Bulls, Jack Bulls (Judy) and Hugh Bulls; one granddaughter, Reba C. Ricks; eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services will be private and the family suggests memorial donations be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, 4301 Wilson Boulevard, Suite 300 Arlington, VA 22203 (703-524-7600).
