The students and staff of Meherrin Elementary School made the days leading up to the winter break extra special with a holiday concert presented by pre-K, kindergarten, and first grade, a school-wide breakfast event: “Donuts with Grownups,” holiday spirit days, Christmas tree crafts with the help of the National Elementary Honor Society volunteers, and the donation of over 1000 pounds of food for the local Food Bank. Not only did the Meherrin Eagles have a fun time, but they were able to help local families in need. The school would like to thank everyone who came out to support the breakfast event and the concert, as well as all those who donated to the food drive.
