Meherrin Elementary School hosted a Family Reading Night on Tuesday, Nov. 28. Students and their families gathered in various rooms throughout the building to get comfortable with a good book and showcase their excellent literacy skills. Some nestled into a corner of the library, while others pretended to be camping as they read by flashlight near the camp fire displayed on the smartboard. All students in attendance received a free book to add to their own library at home.
