Pre-K, Early Childhood Special Education students refine motor skills

The students in Meherrin Elementary School’s pre-kindergarten and Early Childhood Special Education classes practiced their fine and gross motor skills in a fun and engaging way during the school days leading up to Thanksgiving.
A school news release noted that the students were divided up into small groups and moved from activity to activity, each focusing on a specific skill. All of the activities featured turkeys, feathers, pumpkins and even the marshmallows for sweet potato casserole.
“Kudos to the pre-K and ECSE teachers and staff for making learning fun for Meherrin’s littlest learners,” school officials said.
