Cherita Long was named Franklin High School Employee of the Month for September 2023. A school news release stated that Long goes above and beyond for all students. “Her classroom is a safe space where students feel comfortable coming to work and seek advice as needed,” school officials stated. Long provides in-person instruction and meets virtually during the school day and after school hours with students. She is visible in the hallways during transitions and reminds all students of the expectations for behavior while encouraging them to make wise choices. “We are fortunate to have Ms. Long as part of our team,” school officials said.
