WAKEFIELD – Dianna Williams (nee Rice), 80, of Wakefield, died Aug. 30, 2023 at home, after 16 years with Alzheimer’s. She was born Aug. 5, 1943, in Huntington, West Virinia. She lived for more than 20 years in south Florida where she worked passionately as a nurse. After moving to Virginia, she continued working as the school nurse for Capron Elementary School.

She is survived by her husband, James O. Williams Jr.; daughter, Lynn Williams; son, James O. (Tamara) Williams III; sister-in-law, Violet Rice; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and several much loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Miller; grandson, Nicholas Williams; parents, Floyd and Esper Rice and siblings, Floyd Rice, Kathleen Ransom, Robert “Bobby Lee” Rice, Phyllis Rice, James “Jim” Rice, Virgie (Bertie) Tipton and Jean Canterbury.
