SUFFOLK – Brenda Williamson Ayers, 68, of Suffolk, passed away on Aug. 15, 2023. She was born on Sept. 1, 1954 in Suffolk to the late Charles K. Williamson and Iva Thompson Williamson. Brenda was preceded in death by her mother, father and brother, Stua

rt Williamson.

Brenda attended Churchland High School and later pursued higher education at Tennessee Temple University. She had a successful career working for Dr. Charles O’Dea for many years. In her free time, Brenda was a member of the Studebaker Driver’s Club of Hampton Roads. She had a passion for spending time with her family and friends. Brenda was a long-time member of Sweethaven Baptist Church and Liberty Baptist Church.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband, Lonnie M. Ayers Sr. She was a devoted mother to her children: Lonnie Ayers Jr. (Lena) of Suffolk, Derek Ayers (Ashley) of Franklin and Dawn Musselman (Shawn) of Franklin. Brenda adored her grandchildren: Tyler, Karlie, Noah, Chase and Tommy. She is also survived by her brother, Hunter Williamson (Susie) of Franklin and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Brenda Williamson Ayers will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to a charitable organization of your choice.
