Edith Robertson, who retired as secretary at Isle of Wight Academy after 40 years of service, was honored by staff, parents, students and alumni with a big sendoff on June 7 in the school’s parking lot. “What I’ll miss the most is the love and the support of all the students and teachers,” she said. “I always treated everyone like they were mine.” Robertson’s son and daughter graduated from IWA in 2012 and 2015. “I know that we are a family school,” she said. “I’ve always enjoyed getting up and going to work; it was never a drag.
