A thunderstorm that hit Western Tidewater on Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 15, resulted in a downed power line on Hunterdale Road.

As of 5:30 p.m., Franklin Fire and Rescue personnel tended to the downed cable between Country Club Road and Bethel Road on Hunterdale.

Vehicles passing through the area have had to turn around and detour.
