TowneBank grant funds Isle of Wight Academy technology improvements

Isle of Wight Academy has received a $130,000 grant from the TowneBank Foundation to fund technology upgrades throughout the school.
Specifically, the donation will be used toward the purchase and installation of New Optima ’75 Interactive Displays for all 36 classrooms, helping students across all grade levels, kindergarten through 12th.
The New Optima 75-inch interactive displays feature built-in file manager apps for easier access to all documents, wireless collaboration, enhanced fluid writing and interactive features with Creative Board, quick-draw pen and the new Creative Touch 5 Series premium interactive flat panel displays.
“We are so very grateful to TowneBank for this generous donation,” said Mike King, chairman of the IWA Board of Directors. “We take great pride in developing our students to their fullest potential and the grant from TowneBank will assist us by providing a quality education through the newest technology. Their support and commitment to this community is greatly appreciated.”
“Up-to-date technology is vitally important in today’s world,” added Bob Aston, executive chairman of TowneBank. “We are honored to support Isle of Wight Academy as they continue to inspire excellence and prepare students for a bright future.”
Installation of the interactive displays is underway and will be completed by the start of the next academic year.
Isle of Wight Academy is an independent, non-sectarian, coeducational college-preparatory day school that was founded in 1967. It has more than 700 students in preschool 12th grade.
