Nottoway Elementary sends team to regional Odyssey of the Mind tourney

Nottoway Elementary School recently sent a team of students to the Region 6 Odyssey of the Mind Tournament at Menchville High School in Newport News.
An NES news release noted that this is the first in-person tournament since the beginning of the pandemic.
Prior to the tournament, each school’s team selects one of the Odyssey-designed problems to solve. Through the use of skits, backdrops, costume design and creation, script writing and sometimes even song writing, the students spend several weeks preparing their solution. The challenge is to do so with a limited budget and no outside assistance. The work must be completely student created.
At the tournament, teams present their solutions to a trained panel of judges and are ranked accordingly.
“Nottoway Elementary School is exceedingly proud of its 2023 Odyssey Team,” NES officials stated. “Great work!”
