Dunkin’ Donuts will be coming to Franklin soon.

Dunkin’ is described on its website, dunkindonuts.com, as “the world’s leading baked goods and coffee chain, serving more than 3 million customers each and every day. 

“True to our name, we offer 50+ varieties of donuts, but you can also enjoy dozens of premium beverages, bagels, breakfast sandwiches and other baked goods,” company officials added.

Franklin City Manager Amanda C. Jarratt said, “The city of Franklin has been working with Dunkin’ Donuts since the fall of 2022.”

She confirmed Dunkin’ acquired the former Golden Skillet location at 1130 Armory Drive and is renovating it.

Franklin Southampton Economic Development Inc. President and CEO Karl T. Heck indicated that construction has been underway at the site for a couple weeks.

He said he spoke with the developer, and they are planning a May opening. 

“They are currently looking for a store manager and plan to hire crew in mid-late April,” he said.

Jarratt noted that she is not aware of Dunkin’ ever having had a location in Franklin before.

The Dunkin’ website states that there are more than 11,300 Dunkin’ restaurants worldwide, including more than 8,500 restaurants in 41 states across the U.S. and more than 3,200 international restaurants across 36 countries.
