Capron Elementary School is geared up to begin its third nine weeks of school.

“The students had a wonderful first and second nine weeks and showed tremendous growth in their academic development,” school officials stated in a news release.

To celebrate the end of the second nine weeks and to get the children “amped up” for the third nine weeks, CES had a pep rally.

Cheerleaders from Southampton High School came and boosted student morale with their wonderful dance routines. Then students were able to participate in Minute to Win It games hosted by CES Principal Natasha Rose. The games included such fun activities as Chocolate Unicorns, where the children had to pair up and stack cookies on their foreheads, and then they attempted to see who could cover their partner with the most sticky notes in a one-minute time frame during the Post-it Note Cover-Up game.

“The children had a blast playing the games and are now ready to crush the third nine weeks of learning,” officials said.
