Capron Elementary recently hosted a “Donuts with Grown-Ups” breakfast. Children and their grown-ups filled the CES cafeteria and auditorium as they enjoyed donuts and juice while mingling with fellow friends and school personnel. Guest readers, Title I Specialist Lorraine Whitehead and Curriculum Specialist from Southampton County Public Schools Rachelle Doyle read “Bubba the Redneck Reindeer” by E.J. Sullivan and “There was a Cold Woman Who Swallowed Some Snow,” by Lucille Colandro. The children were then given the opportunity to choose a book to take home. Our breakfast celebration was a huge success and was enjoyed by all. Pictured above, Elijah and William Himes and Waylon and Robert Baldwin are all smiles at the Donuts with Grown-Ups event.
