BRANCHVILLE – Annie Louise Compton Bishop, 72, passed away on Feb. 1, 2023 in her home. Born in Lunenburg County, she was a daughter of the late William Henry Compton and Nellie Hazlewood Compton.

Survivors include three daughters, Brandi Tanyer, Jaclyn Bishop and Nellie B. Walters; two sons, Michael Wayne Elders Jr. and Thomas Lee Bishop III; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, Feb. 12 from 6 – 8 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to any favorite charity.
