The Pink is Powerful Cancer Support Group held the Christmas Town Giveaway event on Dec. 10 at Joseph P. King Jr. Middle School, serving more than 153 families with a plethora of options for Christmas gifts.
In a Dec. 14 news release, Audrey Lee, of the Pink is Powerful group, noted that “’tis the season to show love to our fellow man.
“What better way than to come together and give back to our community,” she said. “The joy came in seeing the smiles and spoken relief of so many who didn’t know how they would be able to give to their children and family this holiday. We serviced over 153 families and about 300 in attendance.”
She offered a special thanks to Franklin City Public Schools; Lisa, regional manager of McDonald’s; Dollar General in Capron; Belk; donors, volunteers and members of Pink is Powerful Cancer Group Inc.
