NEWPORT NEWS – Willie H. Ruffin Jr., also known as “Junie” of Arboretum Way, Newport News passed on Jan. 22, 2023. He was born to the late Willie H. Ruffin Sr. and Pearlean B. Ruffin on April 20, 1955 in Franklin.

In addition to his parents, “Junie” was preceded in death by his sister and grandson. He is survived by two daughters, Adrienne Montalvo (Pedro) and Ambre Ruffin; four sons, Marcus Ruffin, Dajuan Ruffin (Branigan), Jamar Ruffin (Gina) and Jumel Ruffin (Salyia); a loyal companion of 19 years, Donna Dean and her son, Thomas Dean; one brother, Ray Ruffin (Tracy); 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A public viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 3 – 7 p.m. A homegoing service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28 at Move of God Ministries, 221 South Main Street in Franklin with Apostle James Clark Sr. of Charity Temple Holiness Church, delivering the eulogy; Apostle Tyrone Hart is the pastor. The committal and benediction will follow in Southview Cemetery. Masks are required. Service provided by the professional and caring staff of Wm. M.
