Army engineers celebrate Native American history

The Cheroenhaka (Nottoway) Indian Tribe of Southampton County gave a Native American history presentation to the Norfolk District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on Nov. 29 in celebration of Native American History Month. The guest speaker was Chief Walt “Red Hawk” Brown, who was accompanied by fellow members of the tribe.
