Ms. Davis’ pre-kindergarten class at Capron Elementary School recently enjoyed a visit from the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office led by Sheriff Josh A. Wyche Sr.
A school news release noted that the students had been discussing the importance of community leaders in class. Wyche and his deputies, including McGruff the Crime Dog, described their job responsibilities with the children. They stressed the importance of safety and calling 911.
The students enjoyed the informative visit and appreciated the teaching efforts of the sheriff’s office.
