The Franklin Experience, a nonprofit working to create or bring unique experiences to the area, recently announced it received a grant from the Camp Foundation to fund the decorating of 10 lamp posts on Main Street in Franklin.

A TFE news release stated that these lights are an exciting addition to The Franklin Experience’s goal to “Light Up the Night.” The lamp posts are all part of an initiative to help decorate Franklin for the holidays.

The Franklin Experience has the “Light Up the Night” 27-foot-tall Christmas tree up for the holiday light display show as well. Located at the Franklin Farmers Market at 210 S. Main St., the light shows will be held every weekend in the month of December up through the 24th. The show will run the full week leading up to Christmas, Dec. 19-24.

This free event allows people to sit in their cars, turn on their radios to the “Light Up the Night” radio station 96.3-FM and watch a 55-minute musical adventure as the tree dances to Christmas music.

This is the third year The Franklin Experience has put up the “Light Up the Night” light display at the farmers market.

“It has met with great success and hopes to continue to bring joy to many during this holiday season,” TFE officials stated in the release.

The remaining “Light Up the Night” show dates are as follows:

  • Friday-Saturday, Dec. 16-24

There are three different shows each evening — 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.
