FRANKLIN – Judy Wallace Smith, 80, widower of Marion Grey Smith, passed away on Dec. 6, 2022 in her home with family by her side. Born in Kenbridge, Virginia and a former resident of Lawrenceville, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Milton Pavy Wallace and Eula Buchanan Wallace.

Judy was a 1961 graduate of Kenbridge High School and a volunteer at Southampton Memorial Hospital. She was a member of High Street United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women’s Club.

Left to cherish her memory is two sons, Barry Grey Smith (Patricia) of Franklin and Dean Wallace Smith (Wanda) of Courtland; four sisters, Geneva Thompson (Ken) of Kenbridge, Martha Page of Suffolk, Kay Pulley Parker (Denny) of Virginia Beach and Beverly Ford (Jerry) of Kenbridge; four grandchildren, Ashley Blythe (Dereck) of Courtland, Sarah Bradshaw (Kevin) of Franklin, Tyler Smith (Meghan) and Ethan Smith, both of Franklin; four great-grandchildren, Reagan Bradshaw, Allison Smith, Emma Bradshaw and Madeline Smith; and two special great-grandchildren, Jakob and Ali.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 12 in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Ned Alderman officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Park Cemetery in Lawrenceville. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to High Street United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
