In celebration of National Bullying Prevention Month (October) and National Red Ribbon Week, which was Oct. 24-28, Franklin High School students learned about the dangers of drugs, alcohol, guns and vaping and how to prevent bullying. A school news release stated that students received pamphlets about the dangers of drugs and the importance of bullying prevention. The Young Women In Action mentorship group participated in sessions pertaining to these topics during lunches. (Send “Way to Go!” photos with a description and names to editor@TheTidewaterNews.com.)
