On Saturday, Nov. 6, 2022, Mr. John Obie Beale Sneed Sr. went home to be with the Lord. He was predeceased by his mother, Elizabeth Sneed and father, Prophet F. Sneed.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Comoria Sneed of the home; eight children, Alicia Boone (Jerome), John Obie Sneed Jr. (J.J.); Angela Williams (Eric), Stephanie Scott (James), Demetris Ferguson (Leon) preceded (Amanda Sneed), Ebony Sneed, Johmoria Sneed and Susie E. Sneed; 14 granchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Collin Sneed (Dorothy) of Murfreesboro, North Carolina, Wesley Sneed (Tanya) of New York; five sisters, Essie Joyner (Lawrence) of Mapleton, North Carolina, Mary Reid (La

rry) of Murfreesboro, Margaret Alexander (Christopher Sr.) of Florida, Debra Flythe (George) of Rich Square, North Carolina and Lula Gatling (John W.) of Murfreesboro; four aunts and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
The funeral will be held on Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Sinai Church of God, 913 Main Street in Murfreesboro, North Carolina. Horton’s Funeral Home in Hertford, North Carolina is handling arrangements.
