Franklin Police responded to a report Thursday, Dec. 1, of a child being abducted from his home in Franklin, and the Franklin and Suffolk police departments worked to find the child and return him safely to his custodian. A Franklin Police Department news release added that the person who allegedly took the child was then arrested on an outstanding warrant and charged with abduction.

The release stated that on Thursday, officers of the FPD responded to 423 Thomas St. in Franklin for a report of an abducted child. Police said the investigation revealed that Nefertari Sh-Mon Green had allegedly taken her 8-year-old biological child without the consent of the child’s custodian. Green does not have legal custody of her child.  

Investigators identified the vehicle in which Green allegedly fled the scene, and investigators subsequently tracked the vehicle to the 100 block of Oak Street in the city of Suffolk, the release noted. Police said the child was located there and returned to his custodian by detectives of the Franklin and Suffolk police departments.

Green, a 34-year-old Suffolk resident, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for a probation violation and was charged with abduction, the release stated.
