Southampton High School students were treated to a variety of special activities that helped highlight Homecoming 2022, under the direction of Student Council Association sponsors Dr. Candice Artis and Kristen Person.
A school news release noted that on Friday, Oct. 21, students had the option to attend a five-on-five basketball game during fourth block to kick off Homecoming Spirit Week.
Spirit Days were set as follows:
- Monday, Oct. 24: BBQ Dads vs. Soccer Moms
- Tuesday, Oct. 25: Bikers vs. Surfers
- Wednesday, Oct. 26: Anything but a Bookbag Day
- Thursday, Oct. 27: Throwback Day
- Friday, Oct. 28: Wild N’ Out: Class Colors Day
The 2022 Homecoming Court was presented to the student body during the Homecoming Pep Rally on Oct. 28 during fourth block.
The Southampton High School varsity football homecoming game set for Friday night was forfeited by Windsor High School due to extenuating circumstances, so the announcement of Homecoming King and Queen was announced at the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, Oct. 29.
Christopher Jordan Jr. was named king, and Shaimeer Shearin was named queen.
Juelz Cooper received the title of prince, as the first runner-up, and Graclyn Hinson received the title of princess, also as the first runner-up.
