FRANKLIN – Rita O’Berry Lewis, 81, passed away on Nov. 10, 2022 in her home. Born and raised in Newsoms, she was a daughter of the late William Thomas O’Berry and Elsie Story O’Berry. She is predeceased by her husband, Herbert Martin Lewis Jr.; her daughter, Anna Lewis Parker; her sister, Constance O’Berry Vick and her stepmother, Judy O’Berry.

Rita was a graduate of Madison College and former owner of Rita Lewis Travel Agency. She was a member of High Street United Methodist Church.

Left to cherish her memory is her granddaughter, Paige Parker; a nephew, Harrison Lewis; a niece, Susan Vick Dunn (Chris) and a great-niece, Katie Dunn.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19 in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Ned Alderman officiating. Memorial donations may be made to High Street United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 218, Franklin, VA 23851.
