FRANKLIN – Hugh Jay Lyons Sr., 68, passed away on Nov. 6, 2022 in Southampton Memorial Hospital. Born in Medfield, Maryland, he was a son of the late John Joseph Lyons Sr. and Mary Theresa McCarthy Lyons.

Hugh was a retired Navy Chief Quarter Master with 22 years of service. He worked with road construction for Blair Brothers, Art Ray and Branscome.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Hugh Jay “Buddy” Lyons Jr. of Kentucky; four sisters, Theresa Weiss, Maryanne Lyons, Maureen Lyons and Bernadette Caldararo; a brother, John Joseph “Jack” Lyons Jr.; and two grandchildren.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16 in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
