The city of Franklin’s Boo Bash drew outstanding participation across all of its events Thursday evening, Oct. 27.
“What an amazing night in downtown Franklin!” City Manager Amanda C. Jarratt said.
The event began with children trick-or-treating at downtown businesses.
“The streets were filled with magnetic energy from the hundreds of children and families walking the sidewalks kicking off an early start to Halloween,” Jarratt said. “We were thrilled at the participation of the public in not only the Downtown Trick or Treat but the pumpkin painting and movie night.”
The pumpkin painting took place at the Franklin Farmers Market on Main Street, and the movie, “Hotel Transylvania: Transformania,” was presented at Barrett’s Landing.
Jarrett noted that the Boo Bash would not have been possible without the contributions of all of the volunteers and business owners in downtown Franklin.
“We truly appreciate all of their efforts to make this annual event successful once again,” she said. “We look forward to the remainder of events downtown throughout the holiday season.”
Upcoming city events include the Holiday Open House & Craft Fair on Saturday, Nov. 12, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Small Business Saturday on Nov. 26 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; the Franklin Christmas Parade on Friday, Dec. 2, starting at 7 p.m.; and the Elf Parade & Holiday Market on Saturday, Dec. 3, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
