FRANKLIN – Crocifissa Carmela LoPresti-Misseri, 95, a long-time resident of Franklin, passed away Nov. 8, 2022 in her home with family by her side. Born in Carini-Palermo, Italy, she was predeceased by her parents, Gaspare LoPresti and Serafina Lentini-LoPresti; her husband, Filippo Misseri and her son, Giuseppe “Joe” Misseri.

Carmela was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and sewing. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church.

Left to cherish her memory is two daughters, Vincenza M. Cascino and her husband, Giuseppe of Franklin and Francesca Letizia Misseri-Hemphill and her husband, Joe of Angier, North Carolina; two sons, Nunzio Misseri and his wife, Sandra of Suffolk and Gaspare Misseri and his wife, Marian of Merry Hill, North Carolina; a sister, Concetta LoPresti; 12 grandchildren, Frank Cascino, Julie Murphy and her husband, Rusty, Filippo Misseri, Daniel Misseri, Alex Misseri, Sarah Grace Misseri, Jean Phillip Misseri, Joelle Letizia Misseri, Steven Joseph Boyd and his wife, Mary, Alexander Lee Boyd, Phillip Michael Boyd and his wife, Lauren and Angela Misseri; and six great-grandchildren, Juliana Murphy, Isabella Misseri, Henry Misseri, Valentina Boyd, Joseph Boyd, Maya Boyd, and one more on the way.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10 in Wright Funeral Home with Father Emmanual Mensah officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Spring Cemetery off of Homestead Road in Franklin. The family will receive friends from 1 – 3 p.m. prior to the service and suggests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or St. Jude Catholic Church. The family would like to thank her amazing caregiver, Tonia Bradley.
