COURTLAND – C. Graham Pulley, 91, passed away peacefully at his lake house at Lake Gaston on Oct. 28, 2022. Graham was a native of Courtland and was a son of the late Junius Waverly Pulley Sr. and Mayab Owens Pulley. Graham was also predeceased by his wife, Clyde Crichton Pulley; two sons, Paul Crichton Pulley and Jonathan Owens Pulley; two sisters, Anne P. Prince and Frances P. Moore and two brothers, F. Bert Pulley and Junius W. Pulley Jr.

C. Graham Pulley

Graham was a graduate of Courtland High School and a member of Courtland Baptist Church. He was the founder of Nottoway House Furniture and was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He was a member of Manry Hunt Club for over 50 years, a past president of the Courtland Ruritan Club and was one of the founders of Southampton Academy. He and his wife Clyde started the Southampton Academy Antique Show.

Survivors include one son, Collin G. Pulley Jr. and his wife, Judy of Courtland; a daughter-in-law, Amy Pulley; three grandchildren, Jonathan O. Pulley Jr., Brian Thomas Powell (Becca), Charles Alan Powell and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday Oct. 31 at Riverside Cemetery in Courtland. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Sunday in Wright Funeral Home in Franklin and suggests memorial donations be made to Southampton Academy or Walter Cecil Rawls Library.

The family would like to thank all of Graham’s caregivers.
