S.P. Morton Elementary School will hold its annual Fall Family Festival/Trunk or Treat on Thursday, Oct. 27.

A Franklin City Public Schools news release stated that this year’s theme — Get “LIT” for Literary, Literacy Is Terrific! — is focused on providing parents with strategies to strengthen their students’ ability to read and comprehend. In addition to trunks, the event will offer academic game stations for students to play and win prizes. The festival will start at 6 p.m., and all trunks and stations will be set up by 5:45 p.m.
