Franklin Southampton Economic Development Inc. will be holding an event Wednesday, Sept. 21, for small business owners who would like to know more about promoting their goods and services using popular social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, etc.

An FSEDI news release noted that the event will also be able to provide some tips on going live and help figuring out which platforms are appropriate for a given owner’s business.

It will be from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Franklin Business Center on Sept. 21 that FSEDI will host this free professional development “lunch and learn event” focused on all things online marketing. Local media-savvy business owners Katrina Sykes-Manley, of Spoken Interior Homes, and Ellis T. Cofield III, of Live Media Concepts, and local marketing professionals Ashlee Wallace and Ashley Covington will discuss information and strategies with attendees that can help attract new clients and increase revenue and presence for owners’ businesses in today’s crowded marketplace.

Having a strong online presence for a business is extremely important since consumers learn about local businesses online more than any other form of media. Nationwide studies (Entrepreneur, HubSpot) show that more than 90% of small businesses struggle with online marketing, including common challenges such as generating higher quality leads, gaining new followers, increasing engagement, creating new content and developing consistent posting habits when using social media.

If these topics resonate with an owner’s business marketing needs, they are encouraged to join FSEDI for this informative, free workshop and panel discussion at the Franklin Business Center, which is located at 601 N. Mechanic St. in Franklin.

Those attending should bring a lunch… and all their questions about online marketing. Drinks and dessert will be provided by FSEDI. Registration is limited to 40 participants, so those interested should sign up today and not miss out on the value of this seminar.
