BRANCHVILLE – Glenn Franklin Barrett, 76, passed away on Aug. 30, 2022 in Maryview Hospital. Born in Franklin, he was a son of the late Richard Washington Barrett Sr. and Ruby Denson Barrett. He was also pre

deceased by a sister, Iris Juanita Kiernan and four brothers, Richard Washington Barrett Jr. Enos Lee Barrett, Vernon Carroll Barrett and Douglas McArthur Barrett.

Glenn was a siding contractor for over 30 years. He enjoyed woodworking in his shop and growing tomatoes.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 52 years, Nancy Phelps Barrett; six nieces, Cindy Harrup Flauter (Matt), Amy Harrup Coggeshall (Jerry), Kristen Nicole Phelps, Laura Barrett, Bridgette Barrett Johnson (Grady) and Sherry Barrett; two nephews, John Kiernan and Robert Barrett; a special great-niece, Faith Ann Johnson and three great-nephews, Jonathan Coggeshall, Andrew Flauter and Aaron Coggeshall.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 4 in Wright Funeral Home in Franklin. Burial with military honors will follow in Beechwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
