I would like to thank God for his hand in all of this, Janet for reaching out to me knowing I could, and with God I did! Having the opportunity of being your Mrs. Franklin/Southampton County Fair Queen has opened up so many doors in my life. It has introduced me to a whole new world, the pageant world. I have been able to serve my community in numerous ways such as providing Easter Baskets to the seniors at Courtland Health Care and East Pavillion, helping families in need, and our Queen events and fund raisers throughout the year.
God needed to show me what he had in store for me, my eyes have been opened to the amazing life he has for me, when I became your Mrs. Franklin/Southampton County Fair Queen. Through him I have been able to inspire other women to step out of their comfort zone. I want all women to know with faith and God right beside you, you can accomplish anything you put your mind to.
This has also allowed me to be an inspiration to my children and my husband, it is never too late to fulfill your dreams. In August 2021, my sister queens and I became a family. Memories were made especially at the photoshoots when we felt like superwomen. We will always be a family that I will keep close to my heart, because I was able to watch them grow into the beautiful souls God created.
By becoming and serving as your 2021/2022 Mrs. Franklin/Southampton County Fair Queen it has changed my life and was the start of a new chapter in my life.
To the next Queen, “never stop smiling, you never know who you are inspiring.”
For the last time, as your 2021/2022 Mrs. Franklin/Southampton County Fair Queen I Elizabeth Dawn Edwards Smith bids you a fair well.
