The Franklin Department of Parks and Recreation hosted a successful adult coed softball league this summer. Armory Park came alive on Monday nights from June 6-July 18 as four teams faced off during the course of the season — the Lions, Teddy Roosevelt Express, Team Johnson and Team Stout. Teams played for regular season and tournament championship plaques and bragging rights. The league culminated in a tournament championship showdown between Team Stout and the Lions, with Team Stout winning as result of leading 20-15 when the game’s time limit was reached. Team Stout and the Lions gathered for the above group photo shortly after the game. We commend Team Stout, the Lions, all of the league’s participants and the city’s Parks and Rec department for an outstanding season.
