FRANKLIN – Lily Lee Dundlow Darden, 78, widow of Samuel Rudolph “Sam” Darden passed away on July 10, 2022. Born on Dec. 15, 1943, in Nansemond County, she was a daughter of the late John and Essie Williford Dundlow. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Hattie Mae Dundlow and Mildred Raiford, three brothers, Cadd, John and Willie Dundlow and a grandchild, Tabatha Dorothy White.

Left to cherish her memory is two daughters, Lorie D. White (Jimmy) and Wanda D. Hunt (Brian); three grandchildren, Teri Joyner (Deke), Samantha White (Austin Mostoller) and Brandie Newsome (Daniel); four great-grandchildren, Corbin and Emeri Joyner and Cullen and Camden Newsome; and a host of special nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13 in Wright Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Wright officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Lorie and Jimmy White, 26128 Delaware Road, Franklin.
