Capron Elementary School recently hosted their Fifth Grade Celebration.  Students from Mrs. Grayson Hasty’s and Mrs. Sheila Roach’s fifth grade classes entertained the parents, friends and staff with a remarkable celebration consisting of two songs, “Can’t Give Up Now” and “Champion.” Phenomenal speeches were given by Breon Peoples, Abigail Gonzalez and Leila Baynard. Dr. Allison Francis, principal of Capron Elementary School, assisted by Mrs. Hasty and Mrs. Roach, awarded certificates to the students.  Dr. Francis also recognized two students, Ava Schools and Alastair Swain, by awarding them the President’s Award of Educational Excellence recognizing them for their outstanding academic success.  Then, a class video, depicting all of the special times the children had during their last year at Capron, shared many special memories.  It was an awesome day celebrating such a wonderful group of students as we wished them the best as they head for Southampton Middle School.
