BOYKINS – Senior Chief Petty Officer Charles Reed “Chuck” Worth (U.S. Navy, retired), 63, went to be with his Lord and Savior, on June 12, 2022 in his home with his family by his side. Born on Oct. 10, 1958, in Wilkinsburg, Pennyslvania, he was a son of the late John Franklin Worth and Joanne Freidley Worth. He was also predeceased by a sister, Margaret Worth and a brother, James Worth.

Chuck was a retired Senior Chief for the U.S. Navy with 22 and a half years of service and received a bachelor’s degree from Rocky Mount Bible College. He was the Founder and Pastor of True Word Christian Church since 2004 and was a life member of VFW Post No. 4411.

Pastor Chuck is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kathleen Elizabeth Jozwick Worth; a daughter, Andrea Vaughan (Paul); two sons, John Michael Worth (Jessica) and David Isaac Worth (Ashley); two sisters, Roberta Worth and Rebecca Worth, both of Pennhill, Pennyslvania; and a brother, John Franklin Worth Jr. (Mary) of Florida; and 12 grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 23 in Wright Funeral Home in Franklin, with Pastor Scott Cornette officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at 1 p.m. in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22 in True Word Christian Church, 31269 General Thomas Highway, Franklin, VA 23851 and suggests that memorial donations be made to the church.
