April FHS Employee of the Month

Tanyeka Thornton

Tanyeka Thornton is Franklin High School Employee of the Month. A release noted that Thornton is an asset to the administrative team and school. “Not only is Mrs. Thornton an awesome administrator, but she also knows the students very well. She also knows the students’ parents/grandparents or other family members and will contact them if needed. For many students, Mrs. Thornton already has their number in her phone.”

“Mrs. Thornton’s professional development is well-planned and always relevant. One character trait that she has is that she is always calm and never seems to get flustered. If by some chance she does get flustered, she does so with grace and hides it well. She also works very hard to build relationships with students, parents and staff. Mrs. Thornton’s rapport with teachers and staff is always professional, but also personal. She is so much more than an FHS employee – Mrs. Thornton is FHS Family.”

April FHS Student of the Month

Reva Tobias

The April Student of the Month is Reva Tobias. Reva is a freshman transfer to Franklin High School. In spite of being new to Franklin High, Reva has been an asset to the school and community. Reva has maintained honor roll for three semesters and has played multiple sports, even scoring a goal on the varsity soccer team this season. Academics have been a priority to Reva as she has been enrolled in Honors Biology, advanced English and Pre-Calculus. She attacks each new school day with a positive attitude and a bright smile that breathes life into her school and classes. She exemplifies what it means to be self-motivated and driven, and as such is a wonderful example to other students and a representative of Franklin High School.
