SEDLEY – Nancy Carol “Polly” Hedgepeth Flowers, 77, widow of Ralph Flowers, passed away March 25, 2022 in her home surrounded by her family. Polly was born Sept. 30, 1944, in Franklin and was raised in Colosse. She was a graduate of Windsor High School and a longtime member of Courtland Baptist Church. Polly was a retired office manager for Suburban Propane where she worked for 41 years.

Polly was predeceased by her parents, Lloyd Leslie “Pelius” Hedgepeth and Madeline Johnson Hedgepeth, a brother, David Hedgepeth and a sister Brenda Babb.

Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Robin McClelland (Kenny); two grandchildren Marlin McClelland (Erin) and Emma Carol McClelland; two great-grandchildren, Logan Mark McClelland and Maya Dale McClelland; two brothers, Pete Hedgepeth and Gordon Hedgepeth (Sandra); her very special friends. Martha Applewhite, Peggy Hobbs, Linda Williams, Linda Wright and Betty Darden.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 29 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 30, at 2 p.m. in Courtland Baptist Church with Dr. John Paul Lotz officiating. The burial will follow at Southampton Memorial Park. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to Courtland Baptist Church.

Polly was a strong and determined lady whose strong faith was evident in the life that she lived. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
