City of Franklin utility bills were once again delayed in being sent out due to staffing shortages, according to City Manager Amanda C. Jarratt.

The current bills that were delayed are covering usage from Jan. 21-Feb. 22.

Jarratt noted that the due date, which is normally the 20th of the month, has been extended to March 28 in this instance.

This is the third time the city’s utility bills have been delayed in recent history, but these three delays have not been consecutive.

“Steps are being put into place to prevent this issue from occurring in the future,” Jarratt said.
