FRANKLIN – Wendy Bryant Harrison, 55, passed away Feb. 18, 2022 in her home. Born and raised in Franklin, she was the daughter of Jean P. Winslow and the late Henry B. Bryant Jr. She was the granddaughter of the late Joseph and Adele Pond and the late Henry and Lizzie Bryant. Wendy was also predeceased by her husband, William Joseph “Billy” Harrison and her uncle, Roy Wayne Bryant.

Left to cherish her memory is her mother; her stepmother, Anne W. Bryant; a brother, Henry “Hank” B. Bryant III (Vickie); a niece, Ivey Bryant; Aunt and Uncle Ann and Owen Gillette, Aunt and Uncle Mary Lou and David Bryant, Aunt Beverly Branch and Aunt and Uncle Sandra and Chuck Perschetz; and many much-loved cousins.

Wendy loved to write and worked several years at The Tidewater News. She also worked as a public relations and marketing specialist at Paul D. Camp Community College for 12 years.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 23 in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Foreman officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.

Wendy loved animals – cats, dogs, backyard birds, squirrels and bunnies. She had a soft heart for them all and the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Partners Among Cats and Canines (PACC) at P.O. Box 1133, Franklin, VA 23851 or a favorite charity.
