The city of Franklin did not have to wait long for the first snowfall of 2022 as it came on the first Monday of the year, Jan. 3. The National Weather Service had reported that new snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches was possible in the Western Tidewater area given the chance of precipitation forecast for Monday.
