FRANKLIN – Jackie Dean Myers Jr., passed away on Dec. 22, 2021. A native of Portsmouth, he was predeceased by his parents, Jackie D. and Edna Harris Myers; and sister, Audrey “Faye” Allsbrook. He was retired from Newport News Shipbuilding and a member of Beech Grove United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Shields and husband, Tim of Indianapolis, Indiana; two sons, Christopher Worrell Sr. of Mobile, Alabama and Brandon Myers of Franklin and their mother, June Hart and husband, Carl of Suffolk; a sister, Wortley Marie Jones of Chesapeake; two brothers, Robert “Bobby” Myers and James Myers, both of Portsmouth; eight grandchildren, Ashley Richards, Patrick Ryan Allsbrook, Zachery Pond, Kristian Worrell, Cassidie Worrell, Christopher Worrell Jr., Caleb Worrell and a granddog, Kevin James Myers; two great-grandchildren, Drake Richards and Aryanna Antonelli; many cousins and friends, including Sanda Munford and Regina Thompson.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 31, at 1 p.m. in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel by the Rev. Nelson Fields. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-7:30 p.m. www.SturtevantFH.com
