The third-grade classes at Capron Elementary School recently learned some key scientific concepts and then had the opportunity to teach them to their second-grade counterparts.
A school press release noted that under the direction of Dr. Muriel Artis, Capron Elementary’s third-grade students were learning the science standard of learning objective about how physical adaptations such as camouflage help animals survive in their environments.
Students colored animals to blend in with the classroom environment and strategically placed the pictures around the room. Then CES Principal Dr. Allison Francis and the school’s second-grade students were invited to come to the third-grade classroom to find the camouflaged animals.
