Drewryville Volunteer Fire Department reported at 1:40 p.m. Nov. 30 on its Facebook page that Valley Protein, located on Val Pro Drive in the Adams Grove area, is conducting what is now a controlled burning of its building, which began as a structure fire.

“They have fire watch on scene, and they are going to call if there is a need for the fire department,” officials stated in the social media post. 

There is a large amount of smoke in the area, and fire can be seen from Southampton Parkway, but department officials asked that people not call 911 for this.
